The Helmi Consort – Katri Susitaival (viola da gamba), Anna Savelainen (cembalo) and Marja Gaynor (violin) – are joined by special guest Kelley Lonergan (soprano) for an afternoon baroque concert to help relieve your Christmas shopping fatigue! The programme includes Telemann’s Violin Sonata in F major.

Kelley comes from Tipperary but is now living in Dublin. She graduated with a BMus from the CIT Cork School of Music in 2010 followed with an MA in 2013. She has participated in voice masterclasses with Ann Murray, Raul Hernandez and Nuccia Focile. She has also taken part in piano masterclasses with Philippe Cassard, Philip Martin and Romain Descharmes.
She won the RDS Music Bursary in 2013 and was offered a solo engagement with the RTE National Symphony Orchestra as part of this prize (July 2014). She was also winner of the Mrs. P. J. Geoghegan Memorial Cup & Gus Smith Award, Cuisine de France Count John McCormack Vocal Bursary, and the Gervase Elwes Memorial Cup & Business Plus Bursary.
Kelley has performed with: Irish Heritage, London, Opera Stars of the Future (2015); the Irish Chamber Orchestra, as soloist in Handel’s Oratorio Dixit Dominus; RDS Concert Hall Rising Stars Gala Concert; Wexford Opera House; Conservatorio di Verona, Italy; and the John Field Room, the National Concert Hall, in a solo recital and as featured soloist with Opera Theatre Company.
Kelley is a Young Associate Artist with Opera Theatre Company.
